Elizabeth is a planner with experience working at the intersection of land use and transportation planning. Currently pursuing her Masters in City Planning at UCL’s Bartlett School of Planning, she previously spent four years working as a planner with the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), the regional planning and policy body for metro Atlanta, Georgia. In this time, she collaborated with over 15 municipalities across the region to provide technical assistance on a range of plans. She contributed to research, mapping and data analysis, and policy recommendations for projects, including local comprehensive plans, modal plans, and long-range regional plans. Across different types of projects, Elizabeth has often been responsible for developing and maintaining datasets and maps to gain a deeper understanding of issues and illustrate concepts.
She also has experience engaging with communities around planning issues, making outreach a priority for every project she works on. As part of the team responsible for updating Atlanta’s long-range Regional Transportation Plan, she identified and helped to implement opportunities for engagement with the public, who provided critical feedback on the vision of the city’s future transportation landscape. During her time in Atlanta, Elizabeth spent two years as the Chair for Communications and Outreach with the local chapter of Young Professionals in Transportation, where she established best practices for communication with members and organised events to engage young planners around transportation. |
