Westwick Row Masterplan  |  TOWN with Crown Estate

UM’s work to enable the residential development of this small (5a) site on the edge of Hemel Hempstead began in 2021 with the transport and mobility input to the site prospectus. TOWN were subsequently appointed TCE’s development partner and in 2024 we were commissioned to prepare the detailed movement, access and mobility strategy to support the planning application due in late 2025. Our input has focused on networks, junctions, street design, parking, shared mobility and gaining highway authority support for a number of innovative proposals. TCE see Westwick Row as an exemplar that will set new benchmarks for the development of its much larger (400ha) land holding in East Hemel, for which a masterplan for around 4,000 homes, schools and other amenities is currently in preparation.
