In normal circumstances, I spend several days a week in Manchester because of my role supporting the Mayor of Greater Manchester (Andy Burnham) and his Cycling  and Walking Commissioner (Chris Boardman) in relation to the design and delivery of cycling and walking transport infrastructure. My Tuesday evenings tend to be free, so I started inviting people to join me for an informal discussion about walking and cycling matters in the Piccadilly Tap, under the banner of #IdeasWithBeers.
 
Now that I’m unable to be there in person, I thought of trying to do the same thing online – and it seems to be working. We’ve had two sessions so far, featuring a number of contributions by invited speakers. I’ve learned a lot from them, and many others have said likewise. So, I’ve edited these first two sessions and turned them into videos that you can watch at your leisure, should you wish. The first is available here, and the second is here.
